For a sense of closure, go ahead, see this insanely complex final battle between humans and machines. But be forewarned: The law of diminishing returns is in full effect. Set largely in the "real" world (where people wear potato sacks) as opposed to the cool Matrix world (where they know kung fu), the trilogy's finale exposes the robotic acting of Keanu Reeves and company. And the time-stopping special effects that initially blew you away aren't so special anymore, since they were so overloaded in Reloaded. Even epic action scenes like a swarming sentinel battle in the human homebase of Zion and the final fisticuffs between Reeves and Hugo Weaving (as the run-amok Agent Smith) are damaged by the hokey dialogue and over-emoting. We're sad to report that the Revolutions resolution may leave you whoa-fully disappointed.
