Plot:
Based on the graphic comic book miniseries, the story is set in England during Victorian times. The League is a group of superhero-like characters culled from famous works of literature — including Allan Quatermain (Sean Connery), Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde (Jason Flemyng), and Captain Nemo (Naseeruddin Shah) — who join forces to thwart an evildoer's plan for igniting wars between nations and achieving world domination.
