| Plot: |
Not to be confused with the 1997 film of a similar name, this Former Child Star features David Spade as a washed-up and highly eccentric former child actor, now 35, who hires an entire foster family, including Mary McCormack as his make-believe mom, to make up for his lost childhood. Alyssa Milano, herself a former child star on TV's Who's the Boss?, plays Dickie's girlfriend. Adam Sandler produces from a script co-written (along with Spade) by Fred Wolf, who also wrote the Spade-Chris Farley comedy Black Sheep. |
