Plot:
It's the story of one of the greatest international sports upsets in history: the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team's semifinal victory over a seemingly unbeatable Soviet squad. Team USA then went on to beat Finland in the gold-medal game. But the real wonder that winter in Lake Placid, N.Y., was the Miracle on Ice — so named after sportscaster Al Michaels' famous call, "Do you believe in miracles? Yes!" Kurt Russell stars as U.S. head coach Herb Brooks.
