An ardent poetry lover wouldn't miss being mesmerised in the pages of Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan's much celebrated 'Madhushala'. Now the lingering lines of his poetry will resound in their ears, well not in their imaginations, but literally. Director Salim Arif is working on putting together a selection of poems written by Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan to be staged by Manhar Gadhia Productions. If everything goes as planned this poetic rendition will be cased for theatre and poetry lovers by the beginning of January in Mumbai. There will about thirty poems of Bachchan including the ones written especially for son Amitabh as well as excerpts from his masterpiece collection 'Madhushala'. Actor-cum-director Ashutosh Gowariker and actors Raghuvir Yadav, Ashutosh Rana, Parthiv Gohil, Sonali Kulkarni, Smriti Malhotra-Irani and Shefali Shah will stage this unique poetical rendition. Talks are that Manoj Bajpai, Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah are also in waiting in the greenrooms, yet to be finalised. The organisers are hoping that Amitabh and Abhishek will be a part of this ingenious event. Only this time their role will be to play a 'good audience'.
