KOLKATA: The city of joy was bustling with fervour, thrill and stars last week as it witnessed the Anandalok Awards held there amidst much gaiety and fanfare.

The new kids on Bollywood block - stunning Diya Mirza and dashing Vivek Oberoi walked away with the Anandalok Award for the most sensational debut.

Daddy Suresh Oberoi was there revelling in pride as he joined the enthralled audience in their booming round of applause for his beta. The gorgeous Hema Malini received the Lifetime Achievement Award; she was accompanied by her daughter Esha Deol.

On receiving the award a jubilant Vivek said, "I love the people of Kolkota who are more mishti than their doi.

And as the audience went all gaga over this charming young lad he continued, "I also love this award, which is almost as pretty as Esha Deol here."
