Movie star Aaron Eckhart makes it a habit to tip valets well because he used to be one.
The Core star hands out $20 bills to valets whenever he's out for the evening in his native Los Angeles - because it gives him confidence he'll get his car back undamaged.
Eckhart was once fired from the Beverly Hills Hotel valet pool after crashing two cars.
He says, "Parking cars is a very difficult thing to do. You just get out of your car and go into the restaurant, while the kid parks the car. My boss was actually too mad to yell at me.
"I used to get tipped $2, but let me tell you back then $2 didn't get you far. Nowadays, if I don't give someone $20 when they park my car I feel like they're going to talk behind my back and who knows what else."
