Pop queen Madonna has recorded a message for fans, telling them how she hopes to "inspire" with her forthcoming children's book. The Material Girl is releasing her first book The English Roses on September 15 - and it's already set to be a publishing phenomenon as it goes on worldwide release, having been translated in to 42 languages. The story is based on the moral teachings of the Kabbalah, the mystical offshoot of Judaism which Madonna follows. And she's hoping the books add as much to readers' lives as the philosophy has to hers. In the message, on the website of online bookseller Amazon.com, she says, "The English Roses is the first of five stories I have written. It deals with the subject of envy and jealousy and how these emotions cause so much unnecessary suffering in our lives. I hope these children's books inspire kids of all ages, even grown-up ones. I wish I had read about some of these subjects when I was little kid." Although the 45-year-old mother of Lourdes, six, and Rocco, three, is staying tight-lipped about the storyline of The English Roses, it has been described as a tale "about friendship, jealousy, sleepover parties, and fairy godmothers".
