Rapper 50 Cent was a finalist in six categories, including artist of the year and album of the year, when the finalists for the 2003 Billboard Music Awards were announced on Monday (December 1). R. Kelly and Beyonce were finalists in five categories, while Sean Paul and the Dixie Chicks got nods in four categories.
The 2003 Billboard Music Awards will be presented on December 10 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will air live on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
The winners will be chosen from information compiled from Billboard's weekly charts during the period of December 2002 to November 2003.
