Got the hots for Ryan Seacrest and can't wait to see him again? Well, have I got news for you. Fox has announced that they'll begin airing "American Idol" starting on Monday, January 19th at 8pm (ET), which now means there will be three hour-long episodes for the week of the show's launch.
During the three episodes, viewers will get a look at the first set of auditions - featuring the best and worst of the bunch. Following that, the show will air twice a week as usual.
Oh, and if you were worried that one of your judges wasn't going to be in the show - fear not, Fox has confirmed that every judge will be back for Season 3.
(As a side note, last season's winner Ruben Studdard is releasing his debut CD titled Soulful today - facing off against Idol runnerup Clay Aiken on the charts, who's so far been the more popular singer it would seem.)
If that's not enough Idol for you though, there's always the upcoming "World Idol" broadcasting on Christmas Day around the globe and pitting all 11 winners from each country against each other. As it turns out, it's also been announced that Simon Cowell will be the American judge taking part in the show.
After performing and being voted on by fans from around the world, a follow-up results show will air on New Year's Day to announce the ultimate winner.
For Canadians, we're still waiting to see when a new "Canadian Idol" will come our way, but it's a safe bet to assume you'll see another show on the air by the time summer rolls around.
