Justin Timberlake called off his wedding to Cameron Diaz because he needed time to convince his mother he was ready for marriage, not because he was having arguments with the Charlie's Angels beauty. The couple had planned a lavish Christmas wedding in 2005, but Timberlake's mother Lynn Harless refused to attend the ceremony. Friends claim the former 'N Sync hunk is desperately trying to persuade his mother that Diaz would make an ideal wife. An insider says, "Lynn is very protective of Justin and simply feels he is too young to be making such a big commitment. She had to pick up the pieces after he split with Britney Spears and still thinks of her boy as being a sensitive and young soul. Lynn also fears that Justin might miss out on his party days. Yes, he's happy to stay home with Cam now but will he look back and think that he should have been on a blow-out with the boys?"
