Globe magazine reports that Angelina Jolie is planning to adopt a baby in India. The actress and her partner Brad Pitt are said to have visited the Priva Darshini orphanage earlier this month.

A source told Globe magazine that whether the couple adopt a boy or a girl they intend to name the child "India" in honor of its homeland.

The child would be the third adoptee to join the growing Brangelina clan. The actress is also mother to Maddox from Cambodia and Zahara from Ethiopia.

Early in 2006 Brad Pitt was successful in his legal application to become the children's father, changing their surnames to Jolie-Pitt shortly afterwards.

The couple have a biological child together. Daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was born in Namibia on May 27.

Pitt and Jolie are currently in Pune, India, filming "A Mighty Heart." The movie is based on the true story of Daniel Pearl, a Wall Street Journal reporter murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002.

Jolie plays the role of his wife Marianne Pearl. Brad Pitt is one of the film's three producers.
