Ex-Blue star Duncan James has revealed he’s quit pop to concentrate on his skating career instead.

The Dancing On Ice star just made the shocking revelation in an interview on GMTV after being asked what had happened to his upcoming single.

James revealed that, despite even filming a video for his next single, he had told his record company he did not want to release it – now or ever.

Hinting at tension between himself and his label he said, “I just don’t want to do. They can’t make me.”

Instead, Duncan says he wants to launch a new career off the back of his successful stint on Dancing On Ice, looking at possible West End acting opportunities as soon as he’s finished a live tour of the show.

He said, “I’ve concentrated on singing for six years, and now it’s time for something different. It’s time for a change, its time for me to move on.”
